Talent Show

This March we hosted a children talent show  in our operative center Casa Maren. Kids had been preparing this event for about a month with the help of a group of art volunteers. In Poder Joven Foundation we are convinced that activities of this type are very important not just to promote talents but also increasing the children’s self-esteem.

Children’s Month

During the month of April, we celebrated children’s month with a field trip in the countryside. Kids enjoyed the outdoors while playing games. We believe that that children can learn from a relaxing environment centered on games and that these outdoors activities can also help us create awareness about the importance of protecting nature.

Family Integration

In parallel to the celebration of Mother’s Day during the month of May we offered a family integration event in our operative house Casa Karah. We did many games which required collaboration and close dialog between family members. This type of event is part of our greater strategy to promote the well-being of the children we served at all levels: physical, mental, and spiritual.

In Poder Joven we work hard every day to give love to our children along with all the tools that they need to have a more fulfilling life.

At Poder Joven, we seek the holistic well-being of our children; for this reason, we offer them activities designed to develop their cognitive and social skills. However, the nutritional support we provide daily is no less important. At our facilities, we serve a total of 230 meals per day (5,060 full meals each month). This nutritional support enables our kids to enjoy the activities we offer and helps them concentrate more easily during the academic reinforcement sessions.

We know how important it is to work closely with the children’s immediate families, as this is where the learning and behaviors originate. For this reason, we strive to educate parents about the need to serve as positive role models for the proper development of their children’s personalities.
