During February we assessed what are the most important benefits that Poder Joven provide to the families of the children served by the foundation. It was wonderful to hear from the parents that they feel their lives have improved significantly by knowing that their children have a safe and nurturing place to stay while they go out to the streets of Medellin to try to make a living for their families through informal jobs. They report that if it was not for Poder Joven, their children would have needed to go out to the streets with them which would prevent them from going to school also.
